 The FERROVARIO are the champion of the City of Maputo / airport of Mozambique, of convincing form, after beating the Airport and the Maxaquene, in the last two journeys (Friday and seventh of the third turn). With the victory on the Airport, for 63-32, the "locomotives" were already when if virtual champions were consecrated, as soon as they were detaining advantage of two points on the Desportivo and three on the Maxaquene.

 Youthful Cameroon guard/forward, Luc Richard Mbah A Moute was selected into the continent's top-5 team (All-star) of the 24th FIBA Africa Championship which ended Saturday in Luanda, Angola. 19-year Mbah played an important role in his team, Cameroon successful run which saw them play in the grand finale against Angola thus booking a playoff slot for the 2008 Olympic Games.

 2005 runner-up of the FIBA Africa Championship for Men, Senegal today in Benguela, Angola defeated Morocco to place 9th in the 16-nations championship which will come to a close on Saturday. The Senegalese won two out of the four quarters (second - 22-14 and third - 20-17) while drawing its opponent in the first and last quarters - 16-16 and 21-21.
