Monastir enjoyed the tournament of four as Germany U18, Holland U18 and two teams from Tunisia participates in it from July 15-18 in Tunisia.
Holland U18 beat Germany U18 65:52 in the European opener of Day 1. The Dutch team opened the game with 16:13 and added 18-13 in the second period. Marlou de Kleijn netted 12 and Willemijn Kallenberg (176-G-93) posted 9. Sonja Greinacher (190-F-92) answered with 15 points in the losing effort. Laura Hebecker nailed 11, while Judith Schmidt and Christina Schnorr cored 6 each. In Day 2 Germany U18 beat Tunisia U20 69:56 trailing 4 points at the halftime. The guests needed 26-13 to win the game. Sonja Greinacher again top-scored for the winners with 15 points and Julia Gaudermann (165-G-92) followed her with 13. Holland U18 edged Tunisia U18 66:36. Netherlands started well and outclassed opponent, especially in the second quarter. The European team led 44:14 at the halftime and reached the second straight win. In Day 3 Germany U18 overcame Tunisia U18 78:48. It was an easy start for the European team that opened the game with 21-9. They also added 19-6 in the second period and kept the necessary advantage. Finja Schaake paced all the winners with 14 points, Judith Schmidt nailed 13, while Julia Gaudermann scored 12. Holland U18 rolled over Tunisia U20 70:44. The European team had 32:20 advantage at the halftime and increased the lead due to the third and the last periods. Willemijn Kallenberg paced all the winners with 15 points and Zera Butter netted 11. In Day 4 Germany outscored Tunisia U20 80:65. Germany lost the first quarter 19-20, but won all three other frames. Mary Mihalyi (162-C-94) posted 15, while Julia Gaudermann added 14 points. Holland U18 outscored Tunisia U18 80:57 and triumphed in the tournament.
