Manute Bol (7'7''-C-62, college: Bridgeport), a lithe 7-foot-7 shot-blocker from Sudan who spent 10 seasons in the NBA and was dedicated to humanitarian work in Africa, died Saturday. He was 47. Almaktba got experience in Arabian Clubs Championship although lost three games. The team from Sudan participated in Group D and could not win any of the games. At first Al Riyadi from Lebanon beat them 102:56 in the start of the tournament. In day 2Almaktba lost to AlKuwait SC from Kuwait 78:125, while AlGarrafa from Qatar beat Almaktba 101:76 in the last game.
