They posted a 15:12 lead after ten minutes. Senegal stretched the lead to 6 points early in the second quarter but soon Poland stepped up. Zurowska and Ewelina Kobryn (193-C-82, agency: Data Plus Group) triggered a 10:0 run that gave the European side a 29:24 advantage. Poland secured a 34:33 advantage at the interval. Poland stayed in charge in a low-scoring third quarter. The teams combined for 20 points and the Polish team earned a 46:41 advantage into the fourth frame. Zurowska and Kaczmarcz enlarged the gap to as many as 9 points late in the regulation. Senegal could not score a point in more than three minutes late in the game and Poland raced to a 56:47 victory.
