Robert Thomson lands in UMobitelco Cluj Napoca - Feb 25, 2010 (by Eurobasket News)

UMobitelco penned deal with Robert Thomson (208-C-82, college: Fairfield). The 27-year-old US-Rwandan centre is expected to play for the Cluj Napoca outfit as soon as Sunday. The centre started the season in France with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Robert Thomson averaged 4.1 points, 3.8 boards and 0.8 assists per game in the ProB. Rwanda basketball kings APR have boosted their hopes of securing an unprecedented third league title in a row by chasing for two new players. Although the clubs head coach Cliff Owuor could not reveal the players names, he said that he was looking to strengthen the point guard and shooting guard positions. Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) basketball club and Co-operative Bank basketball club of Kenya went to the Fiba Africa club championships as Zone Five winners for men and women but they will never cherish those memories at all now and in the future.
