'We are restructuring our club and Malinga is one of the top players in the region. We have thought about him for quite some time, and if we can get, he will help us achieve our set targets in this coming year,' added Cliff.
Malinga is a four-time champion with Falcons before moving to Warriors at the start of last season.
Brian Gumisiriza, a senior player and team manager at Warriors, has left the door open for arguably the best perimeter shooter here.
'His contract is up for renewal. If he doesn't move to Kigali, we will renew his contract,' Gumisiriza told the Daily Monitor on Saturday.
Though the local league has been marred with complications, the military side has currently finished the regular season, and going into the playoffs unbeaten with 28 points.
Complications rose recently after rivals and former champions CSK fielded an ineligible player in one of their fixtures. However, the general assembly is set to meet to solve the issue before January 7, 2012.
APR, who finished second last year behind KCB, has great ambitions this year. According to Owour, they want to lift the regional title which will qualify them to compete in the Africa club championship. Courtesy of: The New times
