| |  | 10.000 Malagasy supporters left the gym in Tana early as it was already clear that Madagascar wont win the final of the Island Games.
Led offensively by Rudy Picardo, the French showed a controlled game and left the hosts with no hopes already in the middle of the third quarter.
Reunion, who could count on the help of Florent Eleleara (184-G-79, agency: Court Side) , managed to take the gold medal after a 88-60 rout and celebrated their victory in a nearly empty gym in Madagascar.
The Comores edged the Seychelles 67-56 to pick up the third place and the bronze medal.

| | | The FMBB Cup goes once again to CAF who edged SEBAM 102-95 in the finals, after defeating Fanatic 80-68 in the quarter-finals and BBCM 91-80 in the semis.SEBAM made it to the finals by defeating Fanatic 70-60 , but CAF showed off their skills in the palace of culture and sports in Mahamasina and led already 42-40 at halftime.Despite a third quarter rally by SEBAM ,the back-to-back champs managed to secure the championship another time. |

| Indian Ocean Cup: Sebam wins finally the title | |

| | | After loosing in the finals last year against Premium Cobras by the score of 66-90 , Sebam returned to the Indian Ocean Cup (CCOI) and overpowered the title holders 93-88 to win it all this time.The players around team-captain Jackson like Naguib , Dolin, Rina, Tiana, Herman, Lanto and Roland led the team to a 59-49 after the first two quarters were finished. Premium Cobras struggled to finish their attacks thanks to the great defense play by the 2005 runner-ups.After beating Mayotte’s home team 90-72 , this was the final and important win by the Malagasy – club. |

| Champions Mad Consult beat CIF 103-97 | |

| | | In the preliminaries of the basketball cup of Madagascar, champions Mad Consult Sebam held off CIF Fianarantsoa 103-97 in the gym of Ankatso.
On the second day, CIF routed BBCM 99-80, and it was already a done game at halftime for the Fianar (48-33).
BBCM bounced back with a 74-47 win over Sporting d’Antsiranana,
and have to win over Mad Consult if they want to qualifiy for the semis.
Cosfa leads Group B , while Sporting is currently second. |

| | | Mad Consult proved ist supermacy , finishing off Sporting d‘ Antsiranana 60-49 in the final of the qualifiers for the FMBB Cup ,which is going to be held in the capital of Madagascar.
In the semi-finals, Mad Consult thrashed ACE Chicago 65-52 , while Sporting drove over Cosmos Secren 69-58. |

| | | Of the four finals at the last day of competition of the Christmas Tournament, organized by the league of Analamanga,three were gained by the selection of Antananarivo-Renivohitra. The three won finals were in the categories under-20 years and over-20 years boys-division as well in the under-20 years girls-division. The only final which was not won by the selection from Antananarivo-Renivohitra was the one of over-20 years girls.
