Summer Slam 2008 Tournament
This years summer slam was held over the past weekend at Lehakoe Basketball Grounds. There was a good show up of teams this year but the tourney started late because of teams pitching late and the unpredictable weather, and other teams were not able to take part due to the above mentioned reasons. All in all seven teams took part in the tournament and as usual /expected Maseru based teams were dominant. Only Lerotholi Polytechnic registered in the ladies section.

As expected Lerotholi Polytechnic reached the finals but lost to Blacklabel by 54:47. The team Blacklabel comprised of players from South Africa and other teams in the NBL including Lerotholi Ploytechnic.

The 2008/2009 NBL league first round kicked off over the weekend. This year saw the registration of one new team in the male category; Limkwonkwing University. There are still three teams in the female section.

The results of the games that were played are as follows:

The annual LUCSA ball games were played yesterday at Lerotholi Polytechnic grounds. The NBL champions, Lerotholi Polytechnic were victorious on the day with a hard fought victory over National University of Lesotho (Rovers) in the finals. (54-45). A team that will represent Lesotho at the CUCSA ball games to be held in Malawi in three months time was selected after the games. It compromises of seven players from Lerotholi Polytechnic and seven from Rovers.

Meanwhile the NBL Top-4 tournament is set to kick off on the 15th of March at the Lehakoe Indoor. Teams that made it to the Top-4 are LP, Rovers, Bashana-Baeso and Leseli.
