BK Ventspils added to their roster 26-year old Guinean-Ivoirian swingman Mamadi Diane (196-G/F-86, college: Virginia). Its actually Dianes comeback to Ventspils as he played here before. Diane played most recently at BK SPU Bemaco Nitra (Slovakia). While playing 4 games for Nitra in EuroChallenge he averaged 18.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.0apg and 2.5spg. Diane played also pro basketball in Spain. He graduated from The University of Virginia in 2009 and it will be his third season in pro basketball
