Born: Feb.4, 1978
Full name: Chudney Earl Gray
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outlook:
Very talented player, who can play both guard positions, with an impressive variety of offensive moves; needs to play in the right system, but when he's hot he can kill you.
Lowgators head coach Doug Marty had this to say about Gray's game: Chudney performed remarkably well from day one, in the thick of a playoff run. Defensively, Chudney is a hard-nosed, on-the-ball hawk with outstanding anticipation and positioning instincts. Offensively, Chudney gets to the basket and free-throw line extremely well, distributes the ball like a true quarterback, and in addition, is a credible shooter out to the arc."

The journey that began in the early part of September has finally come to a halt as the Asian Championship wrapped up a few days ago. With my bags all packed and my passport on hand, I'll head back home to relax and spend time with family and friends. There's no words that can describe the excitement I feel at this moment. It's been a really long time. Honestly, I can't wait. I really miss all the little things like sleeping in my own bed or hanging out on the couch[read more]

With my bags all packed and my passport on hand, I'll head back home to relax and spend time with family and friends. There's no words that can describe the excitement I feel at this moment. It's been a really long time. Honestly, I can't wait. I really miss all the little things like sleeping in my own bed or hanging out on the couch. I can't wait to eat some of my favorite foods and just kick back and unwind. It's been a great season and I'm happy that it ended on the note that it did. I've positioned myself for bigger and better things in the near future. After coming up short in the Arab championship, I got a call from one of my good friends, Garnett Thompson (207-F/C-80, agency: Strategic Sports, college: Providence), to join him and his team in the Asian competition being held in Doha, Qatar. It was only a 9 day commitment for great money so I accepted. With only one day of meet and greet, I was thrown into the fire with my new squad, Al Jalaa. They're considered the top team in Syria although they stumbled in the latter part of their playoff series. They ended up losing the championship this year so everyone seemed upset and disappointed coming into Qatar. My job was simply. I was out there to lead the team and manage the game. Although I was new to the team, I felt rather comfortable with the plays and all the guys. They welcomed me with open arms. It's never easy to come into a new situation and expect to play top notch basketball. There has to be a grace period where you feel out the situation and ultimately etch our your role within the team. I didn't have any time for this. I had to adjust on the fly. With all that said, I played relatively well noting what I was up against. We finished the tournament in 6th place. Quite disappointing, especially after being successful all season long. I really wish we could have performed better but we just didn't put forth the effort we needed to succeed. Now that my season is officially over, I can chill out and smile all the way home. My off season will consist of many things. Right now I'm just looking forward to getting home to take it easy. I have to let my body recoup so that I can be full strength once I begin my training. Thanks for all the support!!. i'll be checking in with you every so often to let you know how my summer is going. Until then, God Bless and be safe!!
After sweeping our first five games in an Alexandria home stand, we were now ready to take our show on the road to close out the season. After sweeping our first five games in an Alexandria home stand, we were now ready to take our show on the road to close out the season. With just a hand full of games to go we knew it wouldn't be a walk in the park. We understood the parameters clearly and knew that the teams we faced would probably play that much harder to prevent history from happening. As I fast-forward to the eve of our last game of the 2009-2010 season, I can officially say that we captured our 5th championship of the season. We are now the Super-League champions for the second consecutive year. The feelings of joy, happiness and elation are all understatements. It's been an unbelievable ride and i've enjoyed every moment thus far. Our next challenge will be the Arab championship which begins on the 5th of May. We are the host team. It will be a tough tournament being that it showcases all of the top teams from the entire middle eastern region. It should be fun to see how we fare in this competition. I know my guys will be ready to rock and roll. The drive to win and to conquer has kept us on track all year long. I don't see us letting up. Hopefully we can continue to feed off our previous successes and ride the momentum from this championship. During this tournament, each team is allowed 3 import players. With that said, it makes the games a little more tougher and usually the teams with the best local players win. We'll see what happens. I 'll definitely keep you informed and updated with how everything is going. Hopefully I'll be hoisting another trophy by the time the tournament commences.
There are no actual words that can possibly describe the wonders of this years team. We've supremely exceeded all expectations and now find ourselves faced with the favor of making Egyptian basketball history. It's been absolutely remarkable.

There are no actual words that can possibly describe the wonders of this years team. We've supremely exceeded all expectations and now find ourselves faced with the favor of making Egyptian basketball history. It's been absolutely remarkable. The ride, which began in early September will soon end as May closes in. In the medium, we've been able to capture 4 titles with our last feat being the league championship, which will take place in the upcoming weeks. We're very focussed on our prospects and won't settle for anything short of hoisting the golden cup as our season fades to black. With only 5 games to go, we have to secure 4 wins in order to repeat as back to back league champions. We'll head to Cairo within the next 4-5 days to prepare and get ready for our games. With every great team there's usually a great supporting cast. In our case, we tip our hats to the best fans in Egypt. The Ittihad 'green squad' are amazing. They are true supporters and have demonstrated their love and devotion to the team all year long. They travel high and wide to see us play. They paint their faces, they bang their drums, they even have synchronized chants that gets us pumped up and going. They have definitely aided in our overall success with how well we've done this season. I can't thank them enough. Since my arrival, they've treated me with great respect and admiration. It's been a great feeling to actually know that you're wanted and appreciated. So, with our show headed for the road, we'll hopefully stick to the script and bring the trophy back to Alexandria. It should be sweet! I know the city will be in a frenzy. Not tooting my horn.. but I can't wait!!!!! Wish me luck!!!!
As always, stay safe and blessed peace
