Ehab Saleh pulls Egypt to the semis of the Turk Telekom International Tournament for U16 teams. The African team proved their ambitions for the top places after an easy 91:69 win. Egypt did not waste time and took the lead in the first period winning 16:12. The second period was decisive in the game as the African representative needed 31-16 for 19-point advantage at the halftime. Ukraine managed to win the third quarter 21-18, but could not keep the race with the favorites. Egypt finished the game with 26-20 and advanced to the semifinals. Ehab Saleh stepped up with 34 points and Moataz Hosny (201-C-95) collected 16 points and 13 rebounds. Ahmet Mahran notched 11, while Wessam Shafik and Mohammed El Sayed posted 8 apiece. Oleksandr Kobets (192-SF-96) ended up with 22 points and Maksym Miroshnychenko (175-PG-96) had 13. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (194-SG-97) and Sergiy Pryymak (199-SF-96) followed them with 10 points each.

Egypt U17 won Group A of the Turk Telekom International Tournament for U16 teams with 5-0 record. The team edged Poland U16 83:65 in the last game of the Preliminary Round.

Egypt U17 won Group A of the Turk Telekom International Tournament for U16 teams with 5-0 record. The team edged Poland U16 83:65 in the last game of the Preliminary Round. As a favorite Egypt started with 19-15 in the first period and scored the same number of points in the second quarter. Poland replied with 17 that kept the African team in front at 38:32. Moreover Egypt needed 23-14 in the third quarter to prove their ambitions. They finished the game with 22-19 and won the fifth straight game. Walid Abd Gawad was the last to score for the winners, while Marcin Skorek closed the game for the final result. Ehab Saleh paced all the winners with 21 points and Walid Abd Gawad notched 17. Wessam Shafik scored 15, while Ahmed Soliman delivered 10. Kamil Zywert (183-PG-96) had 13 for the European side and Grzegorz Kulka (198-PF-96) notched 12.
