They both started offensively and exchanged the lead several times. Ahmed Hamdy (195-C-93) scored for 15:8 in the middle of the quarter, while Heo responded for 23:22 Korea's lead. Kim closed the period at 27:20 for Asian team. Lee Dong-Yeop (193-F-94) delivered two as South Korea took one of the biggest 41:25 lead in the middle of the second frame. Moreover they enjoyed 47:30 at the end of the second period, while Alaa reduced to 49:36 at the halftime. In the third quarter it was a nightmare for South Korea that could not score in the first 5 minutes of the period. Egypt managed to take 51:49 in the middle of the third frame. South Korea meanwhile remained in front after 30 minutes, 65:63. It was hot in the court in the next 10 minutes as both teams had a chance to win. Trailing 85:87, Egypt posted the last three points of the game and won it 88:87. Ahmed Hamdy was unstoppable with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Ahmed Moustafa (178-G-93) nailed 17, whilst Youssef Shousha (190-G-93) scored 16. Lee Dong-Yeop poured in 22 points in defeat and Moon Seong-Gon (193-F-93) notched 18.

The European team needed 35-19 in the third quarter for the final 87:62 win. Spain wont he opening tip 7:1 and Jaime Fernandez (188-G-93) increased to 15:6 later in the period. Spain controlled the court in the first period and had 19:10 after it. Ramon hit the 3 point shot for 22:10 in the start of the second quarter, while Jaime Fernandez delivered for 24:13. Egypt however was too far to give up and Omar Abbas (183-G-94) reduced to 33:31 at the halftime. Spain opened the third period with 5-0 and shocked the opponents in the quarter as they had 35-19 in the next 10 minutes. The European team enjoyed 68:50 advantage after 30 minutes. Attia reduced to 69:58 later in the fourth frame and Ahmed Hamdy (195-C-93) made it 76:60. Conde brought Spain 80:60, while another free throw from him allowed Spain to take 86:62. Costa brought the final victory for the European team. Jaime Fernandez and Jorge Sanz (189-G-93) paced all the winners with 17 points each, while Alejandro Suarez (204-F/C-93) followed them with 10 points. Ahmed Hamdy responded with 23 points in the losing effort and Omar Abbas notched 11.

Chinese U17 squad posted the third win at the World Championship in Germany. They knocked down Egypt today to climb at 3-2 record. Egypt slipped at 0-5 in Group A. Guo Ailun (193-G-93) was once again pivotal for China as he unloaded 30 points, issued 8 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds.
China led right from the start. They quickly gained a 9:2 lead and stayed in charge throughout the opening quarter. The margin grew at 18-point mark in the second frame [read more]

Egypt could not recover in the fourth term and had to digest the fifth loss in a row at the tournament. Zhai Xiaochuan (205-F-93) delivered 28 points for China. Wang Zirui (190-G-93) and Yan PengFei (208-C-93) added 11 points each in the victory. Ahmed Hamdy (195-C-93) replied with 16 points and 16 boards for Egypt. Omar Abbas (183-G-94) top-scored with 22 points in defeat.
