champions of Egypt Basketball Cup Zamalek
were crowned champions of Egypt Basketball Cup after notching a remarkable
91-79 win from Al Gazeera in the match they played on Tuesday.
The quarters of the match ended as the following: 21-28, 45-49, 59-59,
64-69, 64-71 and 65-73.
Both teams prepared fully for the match namely Zamalek who is looking
forward to notch the title namely after crushing Al Ahli in the semi final
match.
Al Gazeera, at the same time, is keen on adding another title after claiming
Basketball League title
Egypt Basketball Cup semi finals witnessed two top matches on Saturday.
Al Ittihad Al Sakandary play Al Gazeera in the first match atTanta club hall
as Al Ahli meet traditional rivals Zamalek at Cairo stadium indoor hall.
Basketball Federation president, Saber Hasanein, stated that the federation
officials have chosen Tanta stadium to hold Al Ittihad vs. Al Gazeera match
in because it is placed in the middle of the way for both teams.
He added that according to the federation regulations, the officials chose
usually the places where the finals and semi finals’ matches should be held
as for the round of 16 and quarter finals a draw should be held.

The Egyptian Gezira are the champions of
the 2004-2005 Egyptian Basketball League. This is the second year in
a row Gezira have the title. Al Ahli are second till now in the
classification and Zamalek are third and Al Ittihad as Sakandari
fourth, followed by Sporting and Smouha.
