ASB Mazembe basketball club of Democratic Republic of Congo Saturday confirm its place in the quarter-final of the 26th FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men with a 74-62 points win over Urunani basketball club of Burundi.
The group-A game saw the DR Congo side winning the first quarter by 19-13 points but the Burundian fought back to even score in the second quarter for a half-time scores of 36-30 points, the third quarter was Mazembe greatest moment as they race to 25-15 points victory to take a 16 points advantage of 61-45 points going into the last quarter. The Kinshasa-based side however, lost the last quarter to the determined Urunani side by 13-17 points but the damage was not enough to see them crashing as they picked their second victory in the group to go through to the quarter-finals.
Mazembe Aubin Kasongo led his team fight for a place among the top eight teams with a double double of 16 points and 10 rebound, Ngongo Asani also posted a double double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assist while the duo of Bertrand Boukinda and Katumbayi Tsibangu contributed 11 points, 2 assist and 10 points, 8 rebounds to their side hard earn victory over the Urunani side.

Aubin Kasongo posted a double double figure of 21 points, 10 rebound and 3 assist help ASB Mazembe basketball club of Democratic Republic of Congo secure victory over AL-Ahly basketball club of Libya in a reschedule Day-1 pairing.
The high tempo group-A game of the 2011 Africa Champions Club for Men saw the determined Mazembe side race to a 20-18 points win in the first quarter, the Congolese side however, gave up the second quarter by 16-19 but rallied back to snatch the remaining two quarters 24-12 and 15-13 points to earn it first victory after losing to Union Bank of Nigeria and GDR Libolo of Angola.
Mazembe guard Prince Asani added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steal with forward Bertrand Boukinda contributing 14 points and 5 rebounds for their side all important win over the Libyan.

Nobel Boungou Colo (202-F-88) will start this season in France. The Congolese/French forward joined former champions Le Mans. He penned a two-month deal. Nobel Boungou Colo played for Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket last season. He appeared 33 times in ProA averaging 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds. Colo played for the same team in 2009/10 season as well. At that time he had 4.1 ppg and 2.6 rpg. From 2007 to 2009, Nobel Boungou Colo was a member of Orleans. However, he mostly played for their U21 team
