Seven egions have so far confirmed to compete in the East and Central Africa Inter-Cities Basketball Championship to be hosted in Dar es Salaam from June 24-28 at Indoor Stadium.
The president of the regional body, Simon Msofe, yesterday named Tanzania cities which had so far confirmed to compete in the tourney as Mwanza, Arusha and Dar es Salaam.
Others are Kampala (Uganda), Nairobi, Mombasa (Kenya) and Kigali (Rwanda). Read more... |

Arusha Basketball Kings clinched the Union Day tournament after crushing the Spartans 26 - 20 in the finals.
The kings eliminated four other out of six bonanza teams that showed up at the Soweto basketball pitch. The third winners were the Hoops who forced the Blue Naget to the fourth position.
